How to choose your equipment
Choose your lighting by the mood you want to create and by what needs to be lit: the stage, guest tables, the dance floor or the room's architecture. Warm, static light suits a dinner and speeches, while moving heads and bright LED fixtures bring a concert and dancing to life. What matters is not only the amount of equipment but the lighting programme: when the lights dim for a speech, when they burst for the climax. So plan lighting together with the run of your event, not as a separate piece of gear.
Typical configurations: a small celebration or dinner needs only a few LED fixtures to colour the walls and warm light on the tables. For weddings and birthdays we add moving heads over the dance floor and effect lights for the highlights. A conference calls above all for even, white stage light on the speakers and an accent colour or logo on the backdrop. For concerts and larger events we build a full lighting system with truss structures, moving heads and an operator running the light live. Not sure how much lighting your space needs? Describe your event and the atmosphere you want, and we will design the lighting plan and stay to run it to the end. Let's talk about your event.
Frequently asked questions
How many lights does a party for 150 people need?
For a room of around 150 guests, six to ten LED fixtures to colour the walls and tables, a few moving heads over the dance floor and one or two effect fixtures for the highlights are usually enough. The exact number depends on the room's size and ceiling height. Send us the venue details and the mood you want, and we will plan the lighting.
Does lighting rental include a lighting operator?
We can provide one: for simple static lighting we programme the scenes in advance, while for a concert or presentation our lighting operator stays at the desk and changes the light live to match the script. We always deliver, install and tune the equipment ourselves. Tell us about your event and we will agree whether you need an operator during it.
Can you light a building facade or an outdoor space?
Yes, architectural lighting is one of our strengths: we colour facades, tents, trees and unusual outdoor spaces with weatherproof fixtures. Before the event we assess distances, the power supply and mounting. Send us a photo of the object and the colours you want, and we will propose a suitable outdoor lighting solution.
What is the difference between moving heads and LED fixtures?
LED fixtures cast a wide, calm wash of colour and suit walls, tables or a facade. Moving heads are directional, motorised fixtures that create dynamic beams, accents and effects on stage or over the dance floor. Most often we combine the two. Describe the mood you are after, and we will select the right mix of fixtures.
